About Our Eating Disorder Clinician Role

The primary objective of this Eating Disorder Clinician position is to facilitate the implementation of a comprehensive NSW Service Plan for individuals with eating disorders.

This role aims to establish and strengthen pathways to care, drive evidence-based practice, service improvement, and innovation within the NSW Health workforce.

Key responsibilities include providing eating disorder specific consultation liaison and capacity building to mental health services, medical services, dietetic services, and other partners. Additionally, intensive short-term care coordination will be provided for individuals with eating disorders requiring a multi-systemic collaborative care approach.

We are seeking a skilled professional to deliver innovative evidence-based intervention approaches in individual or group formats as a specialist service in addition to mainstream provision.

This permanent part-time role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in Port Macquarie.

Responsibilities:
  • Foster partnerships with mental health services, medical services, and dietetic services to enhance eating disorder support
  • Develop and implement evidence-based intervention approaches for individuals with eating disorders
  • Provide expert consultation and guidance to healthcare professionals
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, nutrition)
  • Relevant clinical experience working with individuals with eating disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
