Job Overview
">The role of Eating Disorder Clinician is a permanent part-time position that aims to support the implementation of the NSW Service Plan for people with eating disorders. The plan focuses on building and strengthening pathways to care, driving the implementation of evidence-based practice, service improvement, and innovation.
">The Eating Disorder Clinician will work within Network Mental Health services and be part of a district-wide eating disorder team. They will provide eating disorder-specific consultation liaison and capacity building to mental health services, medical services, dietetic services, and other service partners.
">The role involves intensive short-term care coordination for people with eating disorders who require a multi-systemic collaborative care approach. This includes working with carers and delivering innovative evidence-based intervention approaches in individual or group format as a specialist service in addition to mainstream service provision.
">Requirements">- Hold a current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience or a bachelor's degree in Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of the AASW.">
- Must hold qualifications recognized with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia or be currently registered as a Psychologist with APHRA.">
- Demonstrated extensive clinical skills and substantial experience in the delivery of eating disorders and the challenges people with eating disorders face regarding access to care.">
- Proven advanced communication skills both written and oral, including the ability to negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organizational levels.">
- Demonstrated competence in the use of electronic information systems.">
This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.
">Salary will be in accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.
">Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).
