Cost Controller Job

We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for scrutinising and authorising costs, managing estimate/authorisation workflow, and resolving queries in a timely manner.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Scrutinise and authorise costs for daily jobs
  • Manage estimate/authorisation workflow via portals, emails, and phone calls
  • Resolve queries in a timely manner and chase suppliers on responses
  • Pull open job/WIP reports to chase down suppliers on outstanding costs and invoices
  • Check service records to ensure vehicles are maintained according to manufacturer guidelines
  • Analyse fleet costs and identify areas for improvement or cost saving measures

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced customer environment
  • Self-motivated and able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and be a team player
  • Well-organised, taking ownership of tasks and being able to work to detail
  • Good IT skills and understanding of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel
