Job Summary:

Main Responsibilities
  • We are looking for a skilled Cost Controller to join our team. Key responsibilities include scrutinizing and authorizing costs of up to 100 daily jobs.
  • The successful candidate will manage estimate/authorization workflow via portals, emails, and phone calls.
  • This role requires the ability to resolve queries in a timely manner and chase suppliers on responses to queries.
  • Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for pulling open job/WIP Reports to chase down suppliers on outstanding costs and invoices.
  • Pulling historical repairs for repeat repairs and misdiagnosis of defects is also a key aspect of this role.
  • Analysing fleet costs and identifying areas for improvement or cost saving measures is also a requirement.
  • The Cost Controller will interface with a network of Maintenance Suppliers and their respective billing structures.
Person Specification
  • A minimum of experience working in a fast-paced customer environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and be a team player.
  • Well organized, taking ownership of tasks and being able to work to detail.
  • Good IT Skills and understanding of Microsoft Packages, particularly Excel.
  • Previous experience within the transport industry is essential, while technical/mechanical knowledge or background is advantageous.
