Financial Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled Cost Controller to manage and optimize our daily operations.
Key Responsibilities- Scrutinise, challenge and authorise costs associated with daily jobs.
- Manage estimate/authorisation workflow via portals, emails and phone calls.
- Resolve queries in a timely manner and chase suppliers for responses.
- Pull open job/WIP reports to chase down suppliers on outstanding costs and invoices.
- Check manufacturer recalls and knowledge articles for repair cost support.
- Review historical repairs for repeat repairs and misdiagnosis of defects.
- Verify vehicle maintenance adherence to manufacturers recommended guidelines.
- Analyse fleet costs and identify areas for improvement or cost saving measures.
- Interface with maintenance suppliers and their billing structures.
- Ensure compliance documentation is accurate.
- Experience in fast-paced customer environments with flexibility.
- Self-motivation and clear communication in verbal and written formats.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Organisation skills with attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Packages such as Excel.
- Previous experience within the transport industry essential, technical/mechanical knowledge beneficial.
