About the Role

As a Senior Speech Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting Aboriginal children aged 0-12 and their families to optimise their child's mental health.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support children with suspected or emerging mental illness or behavioural disorders. Your responsibilities will include early assessment, therapy, management, and family support to limit the severity and progression of mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised speech language pathology services to Aboriginal children aged 0-12 and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support children with complex needs.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address communication and swallowing difficulties.
  • Collaborate with families and carers to provide education and support on speech language development and mental health.
