Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team as a Developmental Therapist for Aboriginal children. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessment, treatment and management services to children aged 0-18 and their families to optimise their development.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work within a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless assessment, treatment, management and support to access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for children with a range of developmental and learning disorders;
  • To conduct assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with families, carers and other professionals;
  • To provide individual and group therapy sessions to children and their families;
  • To work closely with local schools and community organisations to promote early intervention and prevention strategies;
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, including progress notes, treatment plans and outcome measurements;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Speech Pathology or related field;
  • Experience working with children and families in a clinical or therapeutic setting;
  • Knowledge of NDIS policies and procedures, as well as experience in developing and implementing individualised plans;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and build strong relationships with clients, families and other stakeholders;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities;
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).

Estimated Salary: $100,210 - $112,222 per annum (plus benefits)
