Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is the largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation in the Northern Territory.

  • New Generous Attraction and Retention bonus: up to $30,000 after 24 months. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 plus a further $10,000 paid at both 12 and 24 months of continuous service
  • Base Salary: $100,210 - $112,222 per annum
  • Total Effective Package: $123,479 - $137,115 per annum*
  • Two full-time positions available, each with a maximum-term contract of two years

About the Role

The Speech Pathologist will provide support to Aboriginal children aged 0-12 and their families to optimise their child's mental health.

This role works within a multidisciplinary team to support children with suspected or emerging mental illness or behavioural disorders. This includes early assessment, therapy, management, and family support to limit the severity and progression of mental health challenges.

The role will work in town and visit remote communities to ensure all Aboriginal children aged 0-12 and their families in Central Australia have access to evidence-informed assessment and therapeutic services within a continuous quality systems enhancement framework.

This position is primarily based in Alice Springs, with occasional remote travel required.
