About the Role

Knauf Gypsum is seeking a skilled and customer-focused individual to fill the Trade Store Customer Service Operator position. This role reports directly to the Trade Store Manager and is based in Burleigh Heads, QLD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service through daily operations at the Service Centre, adhering to the Company's strategic plans, operating budgets, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of responsibilities, including receipting, unloading, storing, and designating stock items.
  • Maintain accuracy in all paperwork and delivery quantities, regularly checking and creating orders.
  • Deal with customers face-to-face and over the phone, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Carry out quality control checks on picked items, including counting and recording finished goods stock figures.
  • Submit all relevant documents related to outgoing goods and maintain the physical condition of the warehouse, ensuring a clean and tidy work environment.
  • Record and report customer complaints regarding product and/or service via Knauf's complaint and customer procedures.
  • Participate in stock take activities, including daily variance checks and end-of-period stock takes.
  • Pick and pack orders on a daily basis and perform general warehouse duties and housekeeping tasks.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to communicate effectively.
  • Good phone skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Team player with attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills to complete operational tasks.
  • Prior experience in picking, packing, and dispatching would be advantageous.
  • A current forklift license is preferred, but willingness to obtain one is also acceptable.
