Wall and Floor Tiler Job Description

The role of a Wall and Floor Tiler involves the installation of tiles on walls and floors to create aesthetically pleasing and durable surfaces.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Measuring, marking, and cutting tiles to fit around edges and corners.
  • Applying adhesive to prepared surfaces and setting tiles in position.
  • Ensuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced.
  • Grouting tiles and sealing joints to protect against water and stains.
Requirements for the Role

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler and hold relevant certifications such as Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling. They must also have a strong understanding of tiling techniques, materials, and tools. In addition, they should be able to interpret architectural drawings and execute designs accurately, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, as well as having own tools and transport. Strong knowledge of self-levelling systems, rectified tiles, and Italian slabs tiles is also desirable.
