About the role
Flora flooring is seeking a talented Flooring and Carpentry professional to join our dynamic team in Sandgate, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various flooring materials, as well as carpentry work, to meet the needs of our residential and commercial clients.
What you'll be doing
- Measuring, cutting, and installing a range of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, and vinyl
- Performing carpentry work, such as fitting skirting boards, laying sub-floors, and constructing custom cabinetry
- Troubleshooting and repairing existing flooring and carpentry issues
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in line with industry regulations
- Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with clients throughout projects
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Flooring and Carpentry technician, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the building trades industry
- Strong knowledge of various flooring materials and installation techniques, as well as carpentry skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
