Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Coastal Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will assist with the planning and design of various coastal projects including marinas, marine terminals, urban waterfront developments, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct feasibility investigations, environmental impact studies, and coastal hazard assessments to inform project decisions.
  • Support planning and design for maritime, waterfront, and coastal structures, including marinas, marine terminals, living shorelines, and coastal restoration projects.
  • Analyze coastal data, survey data, geotechnical investigations, engineering drawings, and aerial photography to support project work.
  • Undertake calculations or modelling of coastal processes and sediment transport to support engineering or environmental assessments.
  • Assist in preparing engineering plans, designs, and technical reports, as well as develop basis of design, technical specifications, plans, bill of quantities, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and scientists on site inspections and data collection.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Coastal Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
