Packaging Equipment Specialist Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the installation and commissioning of equipment into a customer's packaging facility.
  • Maintain and report on servicing requirements for allocated equipment.
  • Manage emergency breakdown repairs to customer equipment.
  • Generate customer invoices for servicing equipment and spare parts.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Department on material and equipment audits.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers to expand existing equipment and service business.
  • Control spare parts stock and manage service tool kits for allocated state responsibility.
Requirements:
  • A-grade electrical license or mechanical fitter with restricted license, willing to further their electrical qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or service-based industry.
  • Demonstrated equipment installation experience preferably with packaging machinery.
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability.
  • Ability to work independently and in sole charge positions.
  • Able to work flexible hours and days, including weekends on a roster style basis.
  • Prepared to travel regularly away from home.
  • Proven communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy, especially with word processing and Excel software.
  • Desirable: Product knowledge of packaging materials and equipment.
