Quality Focused Nursing Opportunity

Peninsula Private Hospital is seeking a suitably qualified nurse to work in our facility, providing support for Quality and Infection Control programs.

The ideal candidate will assist in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Quality and Infection Control procedures, practices, and standards. This will involve working closely with members of the multidisciplinary team and participating in relevant committees to collect and collate data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and infection control clinical indicators.

The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of National Quality Safety Healthcare Standards (NSQHS) and ACHS Accreditation System and experience in supporting clinical teams to meet required standards. Additionally, they will conduct clinical audits, monitoring, and surveillance as required.

The role also involves undertaking direct patient care as needed, providing guidance and support to less experienced members of the nursing team. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be a confident practitioner able to provide education and training to staff on relevant topics.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • At least 5 years postgraduate experience and/or qualifications in either Infection Control and/or Quality Management
  • Experience in the Acute setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
