Job Title: Director of Business Performance Strategy - Brisbane QLD

Overview
The Virgin Australia Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is seeking an experienced Business Performance Director to lead the Customer and Digital division. This newly created role will be responsible for driving strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze business activity and develop ad-hoc and routine analysis to inform business decisions
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to achieve short-term and long-term strategic goals
• Build and validate complex business cases to justify investment and quantify benefits in support of the company's growth strategy
• Engage with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and support business groups in achieving successful financial outcomes through analysis and KPI monitoring
• Oversee, manage, and improve divisional, line, and/or route profitability and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
• Systematize financial models and reports to provide timely and accurate insights to stakeholders
• Support the Transformation Program through baseline analysis, development of benefits realisation KPIs, and tracking of performance against business cases

Requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in Business, Economics, Finance or similar
• Extensive experience in developing forecast models and complex business cases
• Outstanding leadership skills and a demonstrated track record of developing junior team members
• Extensive experience in Business Partnering and Finance Support of the business units
• Proven track record in improving processes and delivering against deadlines
• Experience in preparing presentations and analysis for executives and boards
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to think strategically and implement initiatives in a way that delivers business outcomes
• High level of knowledge and understanding of the commercial drivers for the profitability of a large, corporate business
