Job Summary

The Financial Strategy Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and long-term vision of our bank, reporting directly to the CEO. Key responsibilities include leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes; developing and executing financial strategies to support growth, profitability, and member value; and providing financial insights and recommendations to the executive team and Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the bank's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes;
  • Develop and execute financial strategies to support growth, profitability, and member value;
  • Oversee treasury, liquidity, and interest risk management processes, ensuring compliance with APRA and ASIC requirements;
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team and Board of Directors;
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports, analysis, and performance metrics;
  • Responsible for regulatory reporting, quarterly business activity statements, annual fringe benefits tax return, and annual tax return;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, preferably with CPA or CA designation. A minimum of 5 years' experience in financial management within the banking or financial services sector is required, along with strong knowledge of APRA regulations and accounting standards in Australia.

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential, as is a proven track record of strategic financial leadership and successful budget management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, are also crucial.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is AU$180,000 - AU$220,000 per annum, based on industry standards and market conditions in Australia.
