La Trobe University is seeking an experienced professional to manage its sector-specific capability building projects.

The successful applicant will have highly developed skills and experience in managing staff, projects, and partnerships. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of capacity building projects
  • Identifying and implementing strategies to improve processes and support good practice and outcomes for these projects
  • Overseeing multiple projects and supporting staff to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities for partnership aligned with strategic goals
  • Supervising and coordinating staff to ensure allocation of responsibilities, review of performance, and development needs

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or higher, substantial extension of theories and principles learned through experience, or postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience.

They will also demonstrate experience in managing multiple concurrent projects and a team of staff, a detailed working knowledge of research related to LGBTIQ+ health and wellbeing, and its implications for service delivery, policy, and interventions.
