A high-profile Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a diverse team of developers and oversee the modernisation of the software suite.
The successful Project Manager will be responsible for the planning and delivery of project works relating to the Melbourne Office Refurbishment Project.
The initial contract is for 12 months with two extension options of 6 months each, offering a lucrative hourly rate.
The successful Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to :
Develop, plan, and deliver projects within budget and operational parameters.
Ensure all projects align with the department's design principles and Strategic Property Management Plan.
Develop and monitor detailed project plans to track progress.
Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure adherence to project governance requirements.
The successful Project Manager will have experience in the following :
Extensive experience in project management.
Sound project governance skills and attributes.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and team management skills, including remote project management.
A thorough understanding of relevant laws and statutory requirements related to the built environment.
Advanced contract management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
