Senior Payroll Administrator

The Senior Payroll Officer will lead and oversee payroll operations in a dynamic work environment.
- Supervise, train, and support the Payroll Officer team members
- Act as the central point for payroll queries and complex cases resolution
- Oversee high-volume payroll processing, including new hires, terminations, benefits, leave entitlements, and other rewards
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, awards, enterprise agreements, and superannuation regulations
- Manage salary packaging arrangements, deductions, and remittances to providers
- Finalize year-end processes, including reconciliation and STP
- Prepare and deliver key performance reports for senior management and auditors
- Reconcile payroll-related financial accounts
- Monitor payroll KPIs and recommend process improvements
A successful candidate will possess strong skills in payroll administration, several years of experience in payroll management, and expertise in high-volume payroll processing.
Key Requirements:- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, and leave entitlements
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with ability to resolve complex issues
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g. MYOB, Visipay, UKG) and Microsoft Office, with ability to learn new software
