Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a professional with a background in Nursing or Social Work to work in Occupational Rehabilitation.

This diverse role offers flexibility and autonomy to manage your day, with support from a strong team of healthcare professionals and a global infrastructure.

  • Manage caseloads with support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks.
  • Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs with employers and employees.
  • Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working across various schemes, including workers compensation, life insurance, Comcare, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
  • Assisting clients with injuries or health conditions to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
  • Completing assessments using clinical skills to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, and identify suitable employment opportunities.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or Social Work.
  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded.
  • Strong communication skills and empathy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Current driver's license and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
