Optimization and Analytics Expert Role

Epsilon's Decision Sciences R&D organization is seeking a highly skilled Optimization and Analytics Expert to develop innovative solutions, leverage machine learning and AI applications, and extend the Epsilon Retail Media Onsite ad personalization platform.

This role involves conducting in-depth analysis of raw source data and derived data to inform business decisions. The ideal candidate will design and implement tools and analyses for new and existing products, as well as work closely with Engineering teams to integrate solutions into the platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify patterns and trends that inform business strategy.
  • Develop predictive models and algorithms to optimize advertising opportunities.
  • Design and implement large-scale data processing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in computer science, operations research, electrical engineering, statistics, mathematics, physics, economics, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Proven research experience and coursework in optimization, control theory, machine learning, simulation, or NLP/LLMs.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Strong understanding of statistical techniques, including regression, hypothesis testing, and confidence intervals.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working with big-data ecosystems, such as GCP stack (GCS, Bigquery, VertexAI) or Apache Spark.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Scala, and other programming languages.
