Job Title: Rail Infrastructure Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team as a Rail Infrastructure Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting mechanical tasks, including overhauls, installations, and fitting of mechanical equipment on rail carriages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections, preventative maintenance, and unscheduled repairs based on trade knowledge and training.
  • Undertake troubleshooting and fault finding for routine vehicle issues, which may occasionally involve complex problem-solving within tight scheduling deadlines.
  • Identify and rectify faults in rail carriages, encompassing carriage air brakes, bogies, undercarriage, inter-carriage equipment, and the EVAC toilet system.
  • Examine and interpret drawings and specifications.

The successful candidate will have strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
