Role Overview

Rail Operations Coordinator/Signal Controller Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our Rail Operations team as a casual Rail Operations Coordinator/Signal Controller.

This is a key role that requires managing and operating the Keswick Terminal's rail signal system, coordinating safe and efficient shunting and movement of trains within the Adelaide Parklands Terminal operations, authorising all train movements within the terminal, and overseeing and coordinating the arrival and departure of all JBRE trains.

The successful candidate will have awareness and knowledge of Australian Standard Railway Safety Management and Rail National Code of Practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and operate Adelaide Parklands Terminal yard signalling system
  • Authorise contractor and visitor entry within Adelaide Parklands Terminal yard
  • Process and issue operational documentation for PN train crews and relevant personnel
  • Assist with rail operations administrative tasks, yard maintenance and minor repairs to terminal equipment and Infrastructure
Requirements:
  • Strong technical skills and experience in railway operations and management
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Awareness and knowledge of Australian Standard Railway Safety Management and Rail National Code of Practice
