Land Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Land Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations related to land and tenements.

About the Role:
  • Deliver specialist land and tenure advice to the business as required.
  • Manage and maintain the Land & Tenement database to ensure compliance with legislation and statutory obligations.
  • Ensure timely lodgement of rent, rates, and other Departmental fee payments.
  • Prepare and lodge statutory forms and reports for government agencies.
  • Manage ad-hoc tenement compliance matters and wardens court proceedings.
  • Provide support and advice to manage land and tenement risks through effective internal and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Interpret and apply mine legislation related to land and tenement management.
  • Co-ordinate stakeholders to provide input to fulfil compliance obligations.
  • Manage expenditure across tenements and combined reporting groups.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary level qualification in Geosciences, Law, Planning, Environment Commerce or equivalent desirable.
  • Strong demonstrated experience in land management, legal support, or a related field within the mining sector.
  • Knowledge of Australian mining legislation, regulations, and risk management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in GIS.
