Psychosocial Support Professional

Sonder is a not-for-profit organisation providing health and support services to the South Australian community. Role Overview

This position involves working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and families experiencing mental distress. The successful candidate will provide culturally safe, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented support through psychosocial assessments, therapeutic interventions, and care coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and families across the lifespan
  • Promote cultural identity, self-determination, and community connection as protective factors for wellbeing
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Social Work degree
  • Experience working in mental health, SEWB, or community settings
  • Experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and families across the lifespan
  • Certifications and clearances as required by SA Health policies
