Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Claims Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage Financial Lines, General Liability, and Cyber claims from notification through to resolution. This involves providing professional, prompt, and courteous service to our clients and stakeholders.

  • Provide detailed threshold coverage analysis and advice on policy interpretation, exclusion operation, or disclosure issues.
  • Timely and courteous verbal and written reviews and responses to clients.
  • Work with key legal partnerships to investigate and determine liability, quantum, and a tailored strategy for resolution.
  • Establish timely and accurate reserves.
  • Instruct, direct, and closely manage key legal partnerships on claims as required.
  • Attend broker and client meetings to discuss claims narrative and outcomes.
  • Participate in mediation where necessary.
About the Role

This Claims Specialist will be responsible for managing multiple claims and enquiries with ease, working with different teams within the business to achieve shared success. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in coverage analysis and policy interpretation, coupled with experience in Australian litigation and dispute resolution.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in insurance, preferably with 3+ years of Financial Lines claims management experience.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Australian litigation and dispute resolution.
