About the Role

The University of New South Wales is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Student Experience (SX) Program, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a comprehensive communications strategy that engages and informs our students, staff, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Communications Strategy: Work with the SX Program team to develop a communications strategy that aligns with the program's goals and objectives.
  • Design and Deliver Communications Materials: Create engaging and informative communications materials, including reports, newsletters, and social media content.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including students, staff, and external partners.
  • Provide Strategic Communications Advice: Offer expert advice on communications strategy and tactics to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Student Experience (DVCESE) and other senior leaders.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Communications Effectiveness: Track and analyze the effectiveness of communications efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Relevant Tertiary Degree: A degree in communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Extensive Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking: A proven ability to think strategically and develop effective communications plans.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, with experience in social media and content management systems.
