Job Description

  • PREPARATION OF SUBCONTRACTOR TENDER PACKAGES, SCOPE OF WORKS, CONTRACT DOCUMENTATION, AND PROCUREMENT SCHEDULES IS KEY.
  • PREPARATION OF HEAD CONTRACT PROGRESS CLAIMS IS ALSO A RESPONSIBILITY.
  • SUBMISSION AND EVALUATION OF VARIATIONS ARE CRUCIAL ASPECTS OF THIS ROLE.
  • MANAGING BOTH UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM FLOW OF INFORMATION IS ESSENTIAL.
  • HEAD CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION REQUIRES ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
  • MONTHLY COST REPORTS MUST BE PREPARED FOR PRESENTATION TO THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER.
  • ADMINISTERING RFIs TO CLIENTS AND CONSULTANTS IS ALSO REQUIRED.
  • ASSISTING PROJECT MANAGERS WITH DAILY OPERATIONS IS A TEAMWORK-FOCUSED ROLE.
  • MANTAINING PROJECT DOCUMENT CONTROL IS VITAL.
  • BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH SUPPLIERS THROUGH NEGOTIATION IS KEY TO SUCCESS.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A MINIMUM 3-4 YEARS' EXPERIENCE AS A CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR IS ESSENTIAL.
  • EXPERIENCE WITH A SIMILAR CONTRACTOR ON SIMILAR PROJECTS IS HIGHLY BENEFICIAL.
  • A STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF CONSTRUCTION PROCESSES, MATERIALS, AND REGULATIONS IS REQUIRED.
  • STRONG COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS ARE ESSENTIAL.
  • AUSTRALIAN WORKING RIGHTS ARE A REQUIREMENT.

Estimated Salary

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
