About the Role

Working with the NSW Boral Concrete business in Sydney Metro, this Driver Trainer/Assessor role supports the organization by planning and delivering training activities that promote Agitator driver theoretical and applied driving and operational skills. In this position, you will collaborate directly with drivers, operational staff, and management to identify training needs with the goal of developing and maintaining a skilled and competent workforce.

Your Day Will Involve:

  • Delivering certificate level on and off-the-job technical and knowledge-based training and assessment to meet Boral RTO and regulatory requirements
  • Recording training events and uploading evidence to Boral's Learning Management System
  • Issuing induction, competency, and VOC wallet cards for workers based on verification of evidence
  • Supporting line managers with training needs and the development of their people, communicating progress to relevant stakeholders
  • Completing administrative functions for employee sign-up and training documentation
  • Reviewing trainer/learner responsibilities throughout the training program and providing ongoing monitoring and feedback
  • Assisting in the development, review, and updating of training materials, SOPs, and SWMS

About You

We are seeking a qualified individual with:

  • Cert IV Trainer and Assessor (or completion of the qualification as soon as possible)
  • A valid driver's licence (HR minimum)
  • At least 3 years' experience in heavy vehicle training and assessing
  • Knowledge of Road Rules and heavy vehicle national law requirements for drivers and Chain of Responsibility
  • The ability to travel within NSW for training and assessment purposes
  • A willingness to conduct training and/or assessment on night shifts when required
