Job Overview

Manningham Council is seeking a skilled Drainage Maintenance Technician to join its team. As a key member of the council's drainage maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the council's underground drainage network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operation and maintenance of specialized drainage plant and equipment to clean and maintain underground drains, pits, and easements.
  • Repair and replacement of sections of the council's underground drainage network as required.
  • Confined Space Accreditation.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to gain cooperation and assistance from members of the public and other employees in the delivery of assigned tasks.
  • Thorough knowledge of associated technology and maintenance operations, practices, and procedures relating to underground maintenance, pipe repair, and construction.
  • Medium Rigid truck licence.
  • Ability to read drainage plans and diagrams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various levels within the council and external stakeholders.
