Environmental Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Manager to join our team at RPS Incorporated. As a key member of our Cairns Environment group, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of our team, including managing Human Resources, Business Development and Marketing, Information Technology, Financial Reporting, and administrative activities.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess a degree in environmental science, environmental management, ecology/botany/zoology, or a related field. You should also have solid expertise in business development, legislative requirements, and technical proficiency across various environmental disciplines, particularly in the infrastructure delivery and mining sectors.
In addition, you will need to demonstrate commercial acumen, including managing people, budgets, client relationships, and fostering business growth. You should also have knowledge of licensing and auditing, along with expertise in environmental disciplines such as noise, air quality, water, flora, and/or soil monitoring and assessment management.
Familiarity with environmental legislation and planning policies is also essential, as is proven experience in delivering environmental solutions for major development, infrastructure, and mining projects. A background working on a variety of environmental assessment and planning projects is also highly desirable.
