Environmental Consultant – Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to lead our Impact Assessment team in Cairns. As a key member of our Environment group, you will work closely with diverse disciplines and experts to deliver high-quality environmental impact assessments and management plans.
With a strong background in environmental impact assessment and a passion for sustainability, you will be responsible for managing projects across various industries, including Energy, Transport, and Water. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping our clients fulfill their responsibilities to the environment and the communities they serve.
Key Responsibilities- Manage timely and high-quality environmental impact assessments, constraints analyses, strategic assessments, and environmental management plans.
- Lead a range of projects across various industries, including Energy, Transport, and Water.
- Assist in the organisation of resources, budgets, and timelines for the management of projects.
- Mentor junior members of the team.
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Scientist with a strong background in environmental impact assessment and a passion for sustainability. Ideally, you will have:
- Approx. 5-15 years relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
- Environmental impact assessment experience across a number of market sectors
- Strong team player, influencer, and collaborator skills
- Confidence in translating technical information into accessible language in your written work and other communications.
