Executive Chef Role
Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is situated on the world-famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia.
The position of Executive Sous Chef requires a balance of personally preparing high-quality food and being operationally responsible for supervising and directing all kitchen personnel, while interacting and developing relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring product quality and service standards are consistently high;
- Working with the Executive Chef on menu creation;
- Training and development of up to 40 employees – Chefs, Apprentices and other kitchen staff;
- Ensuring all employees comply with relevant workplace health and safety requirements at all times;
- Control and analyze departmental costs on an ongoing basis;
- Devising initiatives and strategies to ensure financial targets are met.
Requirements:
- Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery or the equivalent;
- Experience working at middle to upper level management within a large 4 or 5-star Hotel/Resort;
- Experience working in a multi-outlet Hotel/Resort is preferred but not essential;
- A thorough knowledge of Food Safety and other workplace health and safety practices;
- A current WA motor vehicle driver's license.
