Role Overview

We are seeking a Strategic Finance Partner to enhance our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Finance, this position will collaborate with essential stakeholders beyond the finance department to deliver financial guidance and support. The focus will be on finance business partnering with key divisions within the Group to comprehend the factors influencing margin outcomes and to pinpoint avenues for expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to conduct analyses, oversee business strategies, processes, and systems to discover areas for enhancement. Leverage data, insights, and reporting to drive continuous business improvement and facilitate profitable growth. Cultivate a deep understanding of the business model and its key drivers to inform future planning and recommendations. Conduct scenario analyses and prepare new business cases, including capex proposals, monitor expenditures, and execute post-project evaluations. Develop models and margin analyses to support business decisions and establish targets, including the calculation of monthly sales commissions. Report on monthly margin analyses and provide commentary on variances between actuals and budget or forecast. Participate in budgeting and forecasting cycles, offering insightful analyses of monthly performance, including the ongoing development of leading indicator insights.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial finance role within a dynamic environment. A degree in Commerce/Accounting; CA or CPA or equivalent qualification. Proven experience in management accounting or finance business partnering. Experience in developing and presenting analytical findings to stakeholders. Proficiency in financial modeling to identify new business opportunities and provide strategic recommendations. Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities to interpret and communicate financial information effectively. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building and maintaining strategic relationships. Advanced Excel skills (including v-lookups, pivot tables, and complex formulas), along with experience in PowerPoint presentations and BI tools. A curious mindset, open to learning and challenging the status quo.
