Ferocia is seeking experienced technical leaders to join our team as we enter a new phase of growth.
About the JobWe're looking for individuals who have a passion for technology and a proven track record of success in leading software engineering teams. As an Engineering Manager at Ferocia, you will be responsible for integrating with the people and technology, nurturing what's working well, and bringing your experience to evolve how we work as we scale to the next level.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize the wellbeing and effectiveness of the people who get the work done, including your team and the wider company.
- Optimize the delivery of the team incorporating people, business context, and constraints.
- Understand, define, negotiate, and prioritize requirements with SMEs both in Ferocia and the wider organization.
- Act as a technical mentor and guide engineers on your team as they design, build, test, ship, and support software.
- Be a proactive partner to Design and Product Managers, ensuring high-quality software delivery for customers and the business.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A people-first approach to management, with experience managing software engineers and a strong advocate for reports' skills and careers development.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen effectively and clearly communicate.
- Experience optimizing software engineering team delivery, understanding harmonious environments for effective delivery.
- Technical proficiency, having worked as a software engineer or adjacent, and fluency in modern web or mobile development languages and concepts.
- A desire to solve problems in front of you, even if it stretches capabilities and experience.
