About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team at Datacom. As a key member of our IT service delivery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist new users with their IT hardware collection and setup, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Ensure new equipment, such as laptops and mobile phones, are up to date and deployment-ready prior to release to customers.
  • Record all customer contacts in our IT service management tool, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Communicate progress updates to customers, ensuring transparency and trust.
  • Utilize tools and processes to deliver services to customers in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Proactively manage and maintain customer infrastructure, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer experience skills, with a focus on end-user services.
  • Ability to prioritize work to ensure achievement of all service level agreements.
  • Sound knowledge of laptops, desktop PCs, printers, media, and audio-visual equipment, BYOD, and mobility.
