Job Overview
The Family Support Practitioner is a vital role that involves delivering interventions to families, addressing identified needs and child protection concerns.
This position requires a skilled professional who can provide evidence-informed case management interventions for clients with complex needs. They will engage with families, obtain consent, and develop a case plan in conjunction with the family to address unmet needs and child protection concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver interventions to families, addressing identified needs and child protection concerns
- Provide evidence-informed case management interventions for clients with complex needs
- Engage with families, obtain consent, and develop a case plan in conjunction with the family
- Facilitate social learning, community connectedness, good health, and well-being while working collaboratively with other professionals and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline, such as allied health, social work, or human services
- At least two years' experience providing case-management and therapeutic services to families, caregivers, young people, and children in a child protection framework
- Cultural awareness and an understanding of how to communicate and work effectively with families from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds
- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or have a professional exemption
