We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team. This rewarding role involves providing short-term, early intervention outreach case management to families in need of support.
About the RoleThe Children & Parenting program provides supportive services to help families overcome challenges and achieve their goals. As a Family Support Specialist, you will have a direct impact on people's lives by delivering therapeutic support to parents, children, and families.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Previous experience in case management and delivering therapeutic support to vulnerable populations
- A background in developing and delivering group work programs for parents, families, children, and young people
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to consult, advise, and liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
**Essential Requirements**
- A current National Police Check
- A current Blue Card Queensland (working with children check)
- A current QLD Drivers Licence and own reliable Vehicle
- Current COVID-19 Vaccination certificate
- Diploma in Youth Support, Family Intervention, Mental Health, or similar field
