The Opportunity

A newly created position for an experienced Bid Estimator to join Veolia’s fast-growing Remediation Services team in Pyrmont office has become available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level estimation and tender services to support major projects in the Remediation Services space.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements nationally, including preferred rates, to ensure a competitive edge in the bid submission process.
  • Comprehensively review tender documents to understand the scope of works, intent of contract, specifications, and any special conditions.
  • Effectively plan tenders to ensure delivery within specified timeframes and manage deadlines.
  • Lead, direct, and provide expertise into the estimation, quotation, and tendering of works by nominating preferred rehabilitation methodologies and delivery models.
  • Establish effective, robust, mutually accountable relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Assist in additional work requests as part of existing contracts.

About You

  • You have a tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil or Environmental highly regarded), Construction, or Surveying.
  • You possess at least 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Bid Estimator in the civil or construction sectors.
  • You have experience working on projects and tenders of varying complexity and size.
  • You have a strong understanding of Quality, WHS, and Environmental Management systems.
  • You are able to confidently manage strict deadlines and competing priorities.
  • You have a high level of attention to detail to manage tender documentation, preparation, and submission.
  • You can establish and grow strong stakeholder relationships.
