Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Manager to take technical ownership of our core event delivery platforms. This is an opportunity to help power world-class events through resilient, scalable, and innovative technology solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, operability, and lifecycle management of systems critical to event operations. They will work closely with internal technology and architecture teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless planning, delivery, and performance across both business-as-usual (BAU) and high-impact event periods.

  • Act as the technical owner for key event platforms, aligning their lifecycle and performance with our Technology Master Plan.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee integrations with identity services and Microsoft 365 capabilities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate temporary and event-specific systems into broader operational planning.
  • Ensure deployments meet cybersecurity and operational standards.
  • Engage with project teams and business stakeholders to ensure systems enable innovation while maintaining reliability.
  • Balance technical decision-making with business needs and vendor capabilities.
  • Support continuous improvement and operational excellence across all systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have experience overseeing critical business platforms, with a deep understanding of how systems integrate and support operational outcomes.
  • Possess knowledge of APIs, identity and access management, cloud platforms, and system dependencies at a strategic level.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into platform requirements and coordinate implementation with internal teams and vendors.
  • Skilled in vendor and contract management, change planning, and ensuring platform reliability in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalable and user-friendly system design.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Be preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with our organization.
