Operational Funerals Coordinator

The Funeral Operations Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of funeral services.
- Liaise with Central Co-ordinators and Location Managers to ensure service delivery requirements are met, including staff implementation of instructions and special requests.
- Manage funeral operations processes, including the allocation of human and physical resources to allow flexibility in the delivery of funeral coordination services.
- Monitor workplace and operational issues, promote funeral practices and service delivery standards that meet customer expectations, prepare and monitor administrative documents, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure operations staff deliver funeral services to quality standards by allocating human and physical resources efficiently.
- Maintain relationships with manufacturers and distributors for coffin/casket supplies, and implement local supplier agreements for repair and maintenance of company buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment.
- Participate in day-to-day operational tasks, such as transfers and viewings, and maintain work areas clean and tidy.
The Funeral Operations Manager must have excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to develop personal and staff capability. They must also be able to assist staff through change and implement necessary policies, systems, procedures, and support needed for successful operations.
