About the RoleAs a Senior Construction & Engineering Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting moderate-to-highly complex insurance risks in Construction and Engineering, adhering to underwriting guidelines and standards.
You will be expected to provide technical support to your team members and serve as a mentor, helping them develop their skills and expertise.
This role is ideal for an experienced underwriter with extensive exposure to Construction and Engineering products and established broker relationships in the market.
The position offers a permanent full-time opportunity, open to candidates based in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne. You will enjoy a flexible work arrangement, combining time spent working from home and in the office.
About YouWe are seeking an individual with:
- At least 5 years of experience in General Insurance, preferably with a focus on Construction & Engineering;
- A proven understanding of product and industry knowledge, demonstrated through involvement in trade and industry (desirable);
- A passion for developing and mentoring team members;
- A strong customer-centric approach, with the ability to anticipate needs and drive long-term business growth;
- Extensive experience in risk analysis and selection;
- A tertiary degree or equivalent, along with an Insurance qualification (e.g., ANZIIF Cert IV) or willingness to pursue one.
