Operational Resilience Risk Manager Role Overview

This role offers a senior opportunity to shape and strengthen resilience practices across the organisation.

The Operational Resilience Risk Manager will lead business resilience and continuity frameworks, policies, and tools. They will set resilience requirements and oversee Critical Operations.

  • Lead business resilience and continuity frameworks, policies, and tools.

  • Provide Second Line advice, assurance, and regulatory alignment.
  • Drive training, awareness, and a strong resilience culture.
  • Lead crisis/incident response and embed lessons learned.
  • Report to senior management and mentor team members.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline (business, law, finance, commerce, IT, mathematics, risk, compliance).
  • 5+ years' experience in operational risk and/or operational resilience (including business continuity) roles within a financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of Insurance Operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk and control frameworks.
  • Experience with prudential regulatory frameworks, specifically CPS 230.
  • Proven experience in dealing with senior management.
