Job Title: Business Continuity Specialist

We are seeking a Business Continuity Specialist to lead and advise on the implementation and ongoing management of business resilience activities across our region. This is a unique position where you will partner with leaders across our corporate and operations groups to directly influence and drive change.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering our business resilience framework across a designated region, leading a program of continuous improvement activities to embed response management capability within the region, maintaining guidelines and training materials to support the development of response management plans and procedures, and collaborating with other functions to deliver business resilience-related activities and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business continuity plans to ensure minimal disruption to business operations in the event of an emergency or crisis.
  • Lead exercises and tests to validate business continuity plans and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to respond to emergencies and crises.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in conducting exercises, including field, functional, and desktop tests.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with others while developing trust and rapport.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with strategic thinking.
  • Demonstrated experience in response management, including planning and coordination in operational and corporate environments.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into easily understandable terms.
  • Strong presentation and training skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
