Database Systems Specialist

This role is responsible for the physical and technical aspects of database systems. Responsibilities include installation and maintenance of the database system, performance and capacity monitoring & management, and security compliance.

  • Environment: Professional knowledge related to the incumbent's department or function.
  • Communication/Negotiation: Ability to articulate and compare alternatives approaches. Negotiate with specified objectives.
  • Problem Solving: Recognize problems related to project objectives. Creativity and judgment applied to professional technical, or operational problems.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Experience working as a DB2 DBA on z/OS.
  • DB2 DBA experience for government clients.
  • Government clearance; Baseline or above.
