**Database Support Specialist Wanted**

The role of Database Support Specialist is a critical position in ensuring the effective management and maintenance of database systems.

The successful candidate will have a solid track record of success in a similar role, with advanced skills, experience, and expertise in database manipulation and management. They will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

This position involves managing a database environment, including databasing and data import, data reporting and access, and creating and implementing data standards. Experience with managing large datasets, preferably of a taxonomic and/or ecological nature, is highly desirable.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage database environment, including databasing and data import, data reporting and access, and creating and implementing data standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and modify multi-disciplinary databases for collection management, including audit and valuation, exhibition and conservation related processes and online products.

**Essential Requirements:**

  • Tertiary degree or equivalent experience in information technology or relevant discipline.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Candidates must provide a one-page cover letter outlining suitability for the role, resume, and maximum of five pages.

Double vaccination for COVID-19 or a valid medical exemption is a condition of employment.
