About the Role

We seek an experienced Database Systems Specialist to join our IT Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing high-performance database environments and systems for core business applications.

  • Develop and implement configuration changes in line with established change management procedures.
  • Maintain security of relevant business systems, including user onboarding, access controls, credentials, and log files.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving database operational efficiency.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly data maintenance tasks.
  • Provide expert-level support for database administration and server operations.
  • Develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience in supporting complex business systems within an accounting or professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or newer, including SQL Server High-Availability technology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server stack, including Analysis Services, Integration Services, and Reporting Services.
  • Expert-level proficiency in TSQL, including stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, etc.
  • Fundamental understanding of the ITIL framework and other IT Service Management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting complex database systems.
