As a lifestyle assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities
  • Assisting in the design, delivery and monitoring of group and individual lifestyle services and activities
  • Implementing innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and their families
  • Providing direct resident care during activities such as bus trips
  • Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit

To succeed in this role, you'll need a compassionate heart, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude. You should hold a Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support and be able to establish professional relationships with residents and their families.
