Life Enrichment Assistant

As a Life Enrichment Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential lifestyle, social and wellbeing services to our residents.

About the Role:

  • Encourage resident participation in individual and group activities
  • Assist in designing, delivering and monitoring group and individual lifestyle services and activities
  • Implement innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents, involving the wider community, volunteers and residents' family and friends where possible
  • Provide direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, including assistance with personal hygiene and toileting
  • Provide direct resident care in relation to meal service, mobility and social support
  • Sometimes work alone or as part of a team
  • Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support or similar
  • Able to establish and maintain professional relationships with residents and their families
  • Reliable team player
  • Commitment to respecting values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents
