Technical Services Officer

Job Summary:

The Technical Services Officer will be responsible for delivering technical standards, identifying potential issues, providing support and advice to customers, creating drawings and generating quotes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical standards across the fleet conversion business network to promote excellence
  • Identify and address technical issues within the dealer network through strategic planning and collaboration with the technical service officer team
  • Provide technical support and assistance to vehicle processing centers, including training on standard operating procedures
  • Offer qualified mechanical and electrical advice to internal and external customers on vehicle specifications
  • Create layout drawings using CAD software to demonstrate concepts or vehicle layouts for customers
  • Generate quotes for customers, bills and materials for labour estimation times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a fleet conversions environment within the automotive industry
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in motor vehicle engineering
  • Experience in CAD software/programs
  • Previous exposure to emergency/mine spec/tool of trade fit outs
  • Previous exposure to ADR compliance rules

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCad Drawing
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly developed analytical and negotiation skills in commercial contracts
